Book Review: Fever By Joan Swan

I recently received a copy of the new book Fever by Joan Swan to review.

Dr. Alyssa Foster is nearing the end of her year long fellowship. Unlike some of the other attending physicians, she doesn't mind working to help patients that arrive from the local correctional facility. Unfortunately for Alyssa, she ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time when Teague Creek decides the doctor's visit is to his advantage, and takes Alyssa hostage in order to flee. Teague isn't your average man - he in fact has a certain set of abilities - and he's on the run with another prisoner - neither of who have any idea that Alyssa isn't the original doctor they were meant to take hostage. However, there is no denying the strange attraction between Alyssa and Teague. Will she be roped into this mess? And is all as it seems?

If you like your romance novels with a slight paranormal twist, you might enjoy reading Fever. I took this book along at several doctor's appointments, and it sure was a lot more interesting than reading the stale magazines one finds in their offices, lol. The fast paced storyline was a little different than what I tend to read, but hey, variety is the spice of life! ;) This is the author's debut book, and you can visit her website here, where you can read the first chapter.

Note that the cover tattoo is not the same tattoo as the character has, and some folks may find the character's tattoos to be offensive. (It's a description in a book though, so I say just ignore that parts)

Fever by Joan Swan is a paperback romance fiction book published by Brava. It is 354 pages long. The suggested cover price is $14.00, but Amazon has it available for $12.28 as of this posting. It is also available as an e-book for the Kindle and other e-readers.

I received a copy of this book in order to read it and share my thoughts on it. All opinions are my own, and not that of the author(s) or publisher.
