Book Review: The Hunt For KSM By Terry McDermott And Josh Meyer
I recently received an advance review copy of the new book The Hunt for KSM: Inside the Pursuit And Takedown Of The Real 9/11 Mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed by Terry McDermott and Josh Meyer to review.
If you've been watching the news recently, you've probably heard the uproar that Khalid Shaikh Mohammed caused at the beginning of his trial when he refused answer or even acknowledge the questions being asked of him. (Personally, I say skip wasting the money since he clearly doesn't care, and use a $20 box of quality, ahem, brass to end this mess, but whatever) The Hunt for KSM takes us on the journey of finding this man so we could bring him to trial for his part in one of the most awful crimes the US has ever seen - 9/11. The book also talks more about the man before he became known for his terrorist ties, as well as after they had him in captivity.
I'll be honest: the only thing I care about is that he's stomped on like an ant for what he did, but I read the book anyways. It has some fascinating details thanks to many key sources who have never before spoken publicly, and of course, talking about some the wasted resources thanks to the many wild goose chases this man has caused. If you're interested in learning more about the behind the scenes work that went on to catch this man, then you might enjoy reading this book, especially as he's finally being brought to trial.
The Hunt for KSM: Inside the Pursuit And Takedown Of The Real 9/11 Mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed by Terry McDermott and Josh Meyer is a hardcover nonfiction book published by Little, Brown and Company. It is 352 pages long. The suggested cover price is $27.99, but Amazon has it available for $17.17 as of this posting. It is also available as an e-book for the Kindle and other e-readers.
I received a copy of this book in order to read it and share my thoughts on it. All opinions are my own, and not that of the author(s) or publisher.
