Book Review: Red Cell By Mark Henshaw
I recently received a copy of the new book Red Cell by Mark Henshaw to review.
Kyra Stryker is a rookie CIA case officer who watched her first assignment in Venezuela turn into a complete disaster - and almost loses her life. Jonathan Burke is a straight-laced analyst who doesn't always follow the book, and doesn't care what anyone else thinks. Together these outcasts work in the Red Cell - the CIA's brainstorming think tank. They've been tasked with stopping a secret Chinese weapon that threatens to start WW3. They only have one lead - a top CIA asset in China named Pioneer, who unfortunately for the Red Cell duo, is under surveillance by Chinese security. Stryker is offered a chance for redemption: get Pioneer out before the Chinese execute him. Can she do it, and stop this weapon from being used?
I love political and action thriller books, so this one was right up my alley. It's fast paced and will keep you on the edge of your seat - I didn't want to put it down until I was done! This is the kind of book you sit back when you're done and wait for the movie to come out - because the storyline is just perfect for it. The author is very descriptive. If you like this style of book too, definitely add Red Cell to your must read list!
Red Cell by Mark Henshaw is a hardcover thriller fiction book published by Touchstone. It is 336 pages long. The suggested cover price is $24.99, but Amazon has it available for $16.16 as of this posting. It is also available as an e-book for the Kindle and other e-readers.
I received a copy of this book in order to read it and share my thoughts on it. All opinions are my own, and not that of the author(s) or publisher.
