Book Review: Together By Carrie Ward

I recently received a copy of the new book Together: Growing Appetites For God by Carrie Ward to review.

As a little girl, I remember my father sitting down and reading the Bible to my younger brother and I. Sometimes it was as simple as a single scripture, other times a longer passage. The author, from AnEverydayMama.com, felt that as a Christian parent she and her husband had a responsibility to raise their four children to know and love God's Word, even though she struggled to read the Bible herself. Then God gave her a plan to begin reading the Bible with her children, one chapter a day. As you may know, kids look at everything differently than us adults do, and this experience really opened her eyes - and her heart.

Together covers Carrie's reflections - and lots of humorous kids questions and comments - on the reading journey through the Bible.
