This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Flood Wood Care. All opinions are 100% mine.
We have both a wooden deck, as well as a wooden fence around our yard. Last summer we retained the deck, but thanks to our wet winters, it's already a mess! I had chosen a really nice dark brown stain, and it faded and wore off too quickly. Obviously, we chose the wrong brand of staining!

Flood® Wood Care, a brand of exterior wood stains and wood cleaners, was founded in 1841 by a family of painters. The brand has been recognized in the wood care industry for their reliable protection, and has earned its reputation as "The Wood Care Specialist". Their products will protect, preserve and beautify your investment. Since those decks and fences are some of the first things other folks see, it's important to keep them looking beautiful - especially if you are planning to place your home on the market anytime soon.
If you're like us, and you'd like to do the least bit of work you can when it comes to staining decks, Flood® carries a line of solid color look stains that lasts at least five years. It adds rich, opaque color to hide imperfections while still allowing the wood texture to show. You can use it on new woods, as well as older fences like ours that have been there awhile, covering up the appearance of aging wood. It's available in both one gallon, as well as five gallon containers so you can get the job done without having to return back to the store because you didn't quite have enough to finish the job. (Raise your hand if you've ever had that happen before!) Plus, it can be tinted to *51* different colors, so you can easily match an existing color, or update it completely - the choice is yours. This time I think we'll be choosing a lighter color, so the fading from the rain doesn't show quite so easily and I'll definitely be checking out Flood® next trip to the home improvement store.
Do you have any projects lined up this summer? We still need to paint the living room first, and then next up is the deck. It's driving me crazy looking at it!
