On Tuesday, June 5, Whole Foods is partnering up with one of my favorite local animal charities, PAWS! Whole Foods Market will donate 5% of their total sales from each of the six Seattle Metro locations to PAWS. This includes the following stores:
Interbay: 2001 15th Ave W, Seattle
Roosevelt Square: 1026 NE 64th St, Seattle
Westlake: 2210 Westlake Ave, Seattle
Bellevue: 888 116th Ave NE
Redmond: 17991 NE Redmond Way
Lynnwood: 2800 SW 196th St
If you are local and you normally shop at Whole Foods anyways, I hope you can switch your usual shopping day to June 5th so PAWS can benefit from the 5% donation! Thank you, Whole Foods!
And let me hijack this post a tiny bit because I just received notice that the Kitsap Humane Society is in desperate need of wet pet food for kittens, cats and dogs! The shelter is open until 6:30 tonight, so please bring in your donations today if you have anything lying around or can stop by the store and pick some up. They are also having a huge adoption drive for the kitties this weekend because they are so overwhelmed. For any cat over the age of one, the adoption fee is being waived - you just have to pay for the microchip. If you've been contemplating adding a feline member to your family, now is a great time!
