Random Thoughts Tuesday - It's Beginning!

So.... did you hear about the "zombie" attack in FL where the guy started eating someone's face?

...I'm willing to bet there was a run on ammo during the next 24 hours. LOL

The sun is teasing me. I keep thinking it's going to stay out so I can do the laundry, and then it hides right as I head towards the laundry basket.

I've been poking my head in the thrift stores here and there, but there really aren't any treasures we need. I bought DH a pair of black pants, and a couple of dresses for the kiddo, and that's it over the last couple of months. My wishlist is almost complete - I'm still on the hunt for a rug beater (remember those metal ones?) and a glass washboard like this:

I don't want the metal since they can rust - and I'm not overly fond of aluminum, either. It's nearly as bad as plastic to me when it comes down to it.

I've definitely taken more things to the thrift stores than have brought home, though. We're back to cleaning out the shed this week. There was still a few things leftover from the folks who owned this home before us that they didn't get rd of, like nearly empty paint containers. (Yes, it's a big shed! I could house my goats in there for sure if it wasn't against HOA rules) So that's being taken care of, and then there's a few toys the kiddo has outgrown left in there for me to put up on Craigslist or donate. Then it's back to sorting through what we have in the house - clearing out some books & DVD's (that's like pulling teeth out with DH!) and going through my kitchen stuff to see what I want to keep and what's collecting dust - like the breadmaker I never seem to use. lol

Another reason you'll never catch me on a ruise: It's love, zombies, action for iOS b-movie tie-in Zombie Cruise Seriously, where do you go if it happens?! You're on the ocean in the middle of nowhere! You can't even take a firearm on board! No thanks!

We love the bleeding targets when doing target practice - but they are pricey. Here's a DIY video - we're going to have to try making some!

He's got the general idea, I guess... I'll be using less water though in ours - can you imagine if they popped in the truck??? lol It's a great way for me to not waste all the food coloring I have lying around here from Halloween and other zombie projects, lol
