Review: Lady Soma Skin & Nail Treatment

Years ago, I used to be known as the chick with the nail art long before it was as cool as it is today. ;) I spent hours doing designs on my nails every week, and I had long beautiful nails. One of my mother's friends used to joke that may hands never saw dishwater, lol

...actually, she was right - they never really did! For the one or two dishes I had a day when I was living alone, they never really were submerged in water. And then I got married... and yeah, my hands and nails changed! Try as I might, you can see the difference in my hands, and we're not just talking age-wise, either. It's gotten even worse since my surgery - my nails are very brittle now, and my cuticles split easily, when they never did before. It's been depressing. :(

Lady Soma Skin & Nail Treatment is a deep moisturizer that repairs dry and cracked skin. It's specifically formulated for skin and nails, promoting a soft supple cuticle, while repairing existing damage. It's supposed to enhances your nails for a shiny appearance and healthy looking cuticles.

Sounds like just what this mami needed, right? Popping open the jar, I immediately smelled the pleasant herbal scent. Made with cocoa, shea, and Kokum butter, the cream is not too thick, not too thin. It was easy to rub onto the tips of my fingers around the nails and cuticles in a circular motion. The treatment absorbed easily, and I wasn't left with greasy fingers.

After about a week's worth of use, I noticed my cuticles weren't splitting anymore. It definitely gave me some relief there! I had no reaction to the product, no itchiness at all. If you are trying to help out your nails, and not just your cuticles, I recommend staying nail polish free while using this for a few weeks.

I also used the Lady Soma Skin & Nail Treatment on my toes to get them into tip top shape for sandal season!

Zipping through the ingredient list, I didn't notice any no-no ingredients I am trying to avoid. It's even made with organic herbs here in the USA. They only use non GMO products, avoid using anything in their business that has been tested on animals, and a portion of the Lady Soma proceeds are donated on an annual basis to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. If you ask me, this is a model company! If only more would follow in their footsteps...

A 4 ounce jar of Lady Soma Skin & Nail Treatment retails for $16.99, although it's on sale right now for $15.00 over on the Lady Soma website. Right now, they also have free shipping on all orders over $50!

I received the product mentioned above in order to try it out and share my thoughts on it. All opinions are my own. As we are all different, your experience with the product may vary from mine.
