Review: Shielo COLOR PROTECT Shampoo and Conditioner
The worst part about dying your hair is the fact that it never lasts! If only we could dye our hair the color we want, and it would last for six months, instead of fading out after a couple of weeks. If you've ever washed your hair after dying it with a regular shampoo and conditioner, you've probably watched the coloring go down the drain as it's stripped some of that coloring off each time you've used it. (Of course, if you have a bad dye job you want to get rid of, this can be a good thing! LOL) Using a proper shampoo and conditioner can help your average hair dye last a little bit longer, keeping the colors vibrant.
Shielo COLOR PROTECT Shampoo and Conditioner is a root strengthening system that uses a unique technology allowing proteins to molecularly fuse with hair to reinforce hair's bonds and heightened volume. It contains a low pH to compact cuticles for superior color retention. Both are sulfate free.
The Shielo COLOR PROTECT Shampoo has StrandGuard Complex that protects hair from environmental factors that can fade color and cause premature degradation of the hair structure. It also has Expansion Technology to increase the diameter of the hair shaft, reducing hair loss, and allowing the hair to flex without breaking. The sunflower seed extract it uses seals in color and increases shine.
The Shielo COLOR PROTECT Conditioner has a light reflecting technology for deeper color. It seals in the hair cuticle, protecting and preserving salon color while adding body and resilience. It reflects the light to avoid sun damage - very important during the summer months! - and helps give your hair a multidimensional shine.
Both have a pleasant scent when you apply it on your hair. I am very pleased that it doesn't seem to strip away color. As a heads up though, if you have easily tangled hair like I do, the conditioner isn't the greatest on helping to get the snaggles out. You might have a little more work.
Both of these products - as goes the entire Shielo line - is cruelty free and not tested on animals, as well as sustainably made here in the USA! I also didn't notice any of the no-no ingredients I am trying to avoid in my home (such as propylene glycol) so that's another great thing!
You can purchase the Shielo COLOR PROTECT Shampoo and Conditioner online via their website. They retail for $24.99 each, but right now they are on sale for 50% off at $12.00 each. There is also free shipping on all orders over $75!
I received the products shown above in order to try them out and share my thoughts on how they work. All opinions are my own. As each of us are unique, your experiences with the product may vary from mine.

I may have to try these! I dye my hair auburn, and reds are notorious for quickly fading. Thanks for the review and the tip about the sale price!
