Toyota's 100 Cars For Good

If you read my blog, you know me and the critters - I love to help out whenever I can. So today, I'm pleading for you to help out with a cause that's near and dear to my heart - finding homeless animals a loving home. It won't cost you a cent, just a few moments of your time.

Toyota is hosting the 100 Cars for Good campaign. Registered Facebook users will be able to vote once daily for the nonprofit they think can do the most good with a new set of wheels. Each day, five finalists will be spotlight. The organization with the most votes at the end of the day will win a new vehicle. The four runners-up will each receive a $1,000 cash grant from Toyota.

That's *100* non profit organizations that can benefit from a brand new car over the course of this promotion, that's running now through August 21st (hey, my birthday!).

One of our local rescue groups is in the running - Motley Zoo Animal Rescue. Besides having a really cool name, these folks work incredibly hard to get homeless pets a loving home. June 12th will be the day Motley Zoo will be featured, and I hope you'll click the reminder on the widget to come back and vote for them. It would be AWESOME if they could win the car, because then they would be able to use this to rescue pets out of the shelters, and ferry them to their foster homes!

You can vote every day, and choose the cause that's nearest your heart. Each one of us can make a difference. C'mon folks - let's help some really worthy organizations win! (Today's pet related charity is the Lehmi County Humane Society. As of this posting, they are in the lead - please help keep them there by voting!)
