Book Review: Wallflower In Bloom By Claire Cook

I recently received a copy of the new book Wallflower In Bloom by Claire Cook to review.

Meet Deirdre Griffin. She's a busy personal assistant for her brother, Tag, who just happens to be a New Age guru. He's extremely high maintenance, demanding, and you can't help but be mesmerized by him. Translation: the complete opposite of Deirdre, who's a wallflower. After ten years of being his assistant and stuck in the New England compound, in a relationship that's ending thanks to the jerk wanting to have a baby with someone else and marry her, Deirdre has had enough. So Deirdre concocts a plan: she'll use her brother's massive online following to get herself voted in as a last minute replacement on Dancing With The Stars! It will be just the push she needs - she'll get herself back into shape, and force her to be social. Take that!

If you're looking for a book to give you giggles while you read on the beach or by the pool, Wallflower In Bloom is it! From being walked in on by a strange man in her hotel room to how she handled social media, I giggled my way through the book - which was actually sparked when the author was recommended by GalleyCat and their Facebook fans as to which author they'd love to see on Dancing With The Stars. Maybe she'll get the call? :) You'll definitely find yourself cheering for Deirdre as the story goes on. (And good grief, is her brother ever needy! Yikes!! I'd go completely insane if I had to deal with him, lol)

Wallflower In Bloom by Claire Cook is a hardcover fiction book published by Touchstone. It is 272 pages long. The suggested cover price is $24.99, but Amazon has it available for $15.19 as of this posting. It is also available as an e-book for the Kindle and other e-readers, as well as on audio book.

I received a copy of this book in order to read it and share my thoughts on it. All opinions are my own, and not that of the author(s) or publisher.
