Pantry Preparedness: eFoodsDirect

To me, food storage and being prepared for an emergency is just as important as having insurance on my home. Having my pantry shelves stocked and my freezer full really helped this last year between not being able to grocery shop there for awhile after my surgery, and the tighter purse strings that came with all the extra bills. Five months later, I haven't replaced a lot of what we've used and I can see the holes - I know it's time to start replacing my stash!

I recently was introduced to a food storage company called eFoodsDirect. Like some of the other preparedness shelf stable brands available, these storable foods are add warm water, let it cook/soak, and serve. I'll be reviewing some of the foods in the coming weeks, but in the meantime if you're interested, you can check out the site - they actually have a deal right now where you'll receive three (3) pouches of Quick-Fix meals for free, just pay $9.95 shipping and handling. (That's about $3.33 each pouch, which seems like a decent deal to take along camping this summer, or just toss into your emergency kits and forget about it until needed). They have a few other deals, too.
