Antiquing
I wanted out of the house a little, so DH suggested we pop in and out of all of the second hand stores we have here in the Port Orchard area. A lot of them are more consignment booths. It's been awhile since we've been in some of these stores!
It's always interesting to see what others determine is "collectible". To me, a lot of it is mostly dust catchers, as my mother would call them too. Some things are very pretty, don't get me wrong. I also understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. ;) But yowser, some of the prices on items I just cannot comprehend! lol On my hunt list has been a rug beater, and I was excited to finally find one - except the price - eek! $45! Considering even Lehman's carries them for $9.95, I'll just leave that one for someone else to purchase. ;) There also was a butter churner, but again, they wanted $89, and Lehman's has that cheaper too. Sigh!
I did buy a mason jar for 20 cents! Big purchase, right? lol (I would have bought more, but that's all they had!)
