Be still, our vintage hearts! It's time to break out your G.I. Joe action figure collection! The final season of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Series 2 is here. The last 20 episodes of season two is here on three discs. While there are some familiar names - General Hawk, of course, alongside Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes, you'll also see some new faces battling Cobra Commander and Destro. Our only sadness with this second series is that it took the emphasis off America with the new theme song. (Sniff, sniff) Other than that, if you're looking for a walk down memory lane, or your kids are big G.I. Joe fans, this is a must for your DVD collection.
There is also one bonus feature: a retrospective featurette with the Hasbro Toy Team that will make most oldschool G.I. Joe fans like my DH happy.
G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Series 2, Season 2 will be available tomorrow, July 10th, 2012. Full screen format, the total running time is about seven hours long. It is rated for General Audiences, with some cartoon violence. The suggested retail price is $29.93, but Amazon has it available on pre-order for $21.99 as of this posting.
