Review: SunBurnt Treatment For Sunburns

If you've ever had a really bad sunburn, you know how miserable they are. Fortunately, there are products available on the market like SunBurnt, a treatment for sunburns. This homeopathic after sun relief gel is lidocaine free, and it helps to reduce skin peeling, while soothing and hydrating skin. It also helps cool overheated skin.

I was sent a 2.5 ounce tube of SunBurnt to try out. It comes in an easy to apply from tube with a flip top lid. The size is just perfect to toss into a purse for attending festivals - which seems to be where we end up with surprise sunburns the most around here. I love that it's made with Aloe, so I know it's got the good stuff in it to soothe my families' angry skin. After hanging around the water while DH was fishing the other day, I'm the one who ended up with very dry and tight skin from the sun, mostly on my shoulders. (Guess what shirt ended up in the donate box? Yeah, that one. Now I've got a farmers tan line thanks to it! lol) For best results, you just slather some on immediately after sun exposure - don't wait for the blisters to start appearing if you can help it.

I was pretty thankful the SunBurnt had arrived the day we left to go camping and I had tossed it into my bag - whew! Granted, I didn't end up with a blistery, peeling burn to try it out on, but my skin has been miserable enough that I'm pretty thankful it wasn't any worse. I'll definitely be keeping this product in my first aid kit for hiking and camping! If you too, do a lot of things outdoors - from hiking to gardening to golfing, I'd recommend you pick up a tube and keep it handy. For anyone who is creating a "get home" emergency bag where they think they might have to be doing a good amount of walking to get home or to safety, you might want to add this to your bag. It's light enough, and could help save the day if you're walking a distance in the bright sun.

I was also very happy to find out that not only has this product not been tested on animals, it's also made here in the USA.

SunBurnt Therapeutic After Sun Relief is available in a 2.5 oz tube and a 6 oz tube. The 6 oz tube has a suggested retail price of $8.99. You can purchase it at drug stores like Walgreens, as well as big box stores like Kmart, and online via sites like Drugstore.com and Amazon.

I received a sample of the product mentioned above in order to try it out and share my thoughts on it. All opinions are my own.
