A beautiful story for all children, On The Night You Were Born tells the tale of how special a child is, and how the moon smiled upon them as they were born, among other sweet little tidbits. It shares with the child just how important they are - not only to us as parents, but to the whole world and entire universe. The illustrations are so beautiful too - it's one of those books where not only the story is amazing, the drawings are perfectly matched in perfection.
The nice part about having the story on CD to go along with the picture book, is that kids can use it to practice and learn their reading skills on their own as they grow older, as well as enjoy the story on car rides and at home. The story is read by Orlagh Cassidy, as well as by the author herself.
I used to love books and audio as a child (of course, back then it was records and cassettes. LOL), so I love adding them to my daughter's little library collection too. This is exactly the kind of story I love to buy, too! My daughter enjoyed the story and getting to listen to it on CD while she settled in to bed.

While the book is available now at most bookstores in the children's department, this special set will be released on October 30th, 2012, so it's available on pre-order only at the moment.
