EcoTools are a great choice for those of us who say no to animal cruelty. They are made from bamboo, with natural and recycled materials. The soft bristles are 100% cruelty free, made from taklon bristles, a synthetic fiber that's a polyester blend. The bonus is that taklon is a little more hygienic than the brushes made with animal fur. (Be sure to wash your brushes just as frequently, though!)
EcoTools sent me on over their six piece bamboo brush set. It includes a blush brush, eye shading brush, eyeliner brush, lash and brow groomer, a concealer brush, and a natural cotton and hemp bag to keep them all in. Upon opening their package, I really couldn't feel a difference in the softness of the brushes as compared to my pricey ones I bought years ago. If my eyes were closed, I would have been hard pressed to tell which set was which! The brushes were all easy to apply my makeup with, and I loved the little safe keeping bag. I keep all my makeup in a train case, so I just tossed the bag into the bottom section of it when not using them - this bag is perfect for traveling, too! (Although, I'll admit there was a faint smell to the bag, probably from the plastic zipper bag. You might want to let the bag air out before tossing it into any other container so you don't make everything smell)
You can purchase the EcoTools Bamboo 6 Piece Brush Set at your local Walgreens drug store for $9.99.
