Review: Lady Soma Detox

When you hear the word "detox", your mind probably automatically wanders to drugs and alcohol. That's not always so - anything from chemicals to environmental toxins can end up lurking in your body.

Lady Soma Detox is an advanced cleanse designed for women that is easy to follow and gentle on the system. This premium body cleansing seven day program removes tozin and supports digestion, aiding in kidney, colon, and even heart health. Using natural plant ingredients, Lady Soma Detox can help get rid of excess waste buildup, reducing bloating, and support in weight loss. It's created for women, with friendly ingredients like Omega 3 and Omega 6. (As a head's up for anyone with allergies, it does contain black walnuts, so this is a probably no-no product if you have tree nut allergies! It's also processed in a facility that can come in contact with other food allergens, so be cautious if you have food allergies.)

I was looking forward to starting this program, when I got sick, and had to put it on the backburner for a couple of weeks. You don't want to use it if you have abdominal pain or loose stools. You also don't want to use it if you are pregnant, have a chance of being pregnant, or if you are nursing. Once I finally kicked that germ du jour to curb, I started the program up.

This seven day program is a dietary supplement, so you can eat healthy while you are on it. (Stay away from anything processed! No fast food ladies!) It seems daunting at first, especially once you look at the bottle. Each day, at morning, noon, and night, you'll take one of the individually wrapped packets (which are super convenient!) of pills. Here's the thing: you are taking *12* assorted pills each time, for a total of 36 daily! If you have a hard time to swallow pills, I'm guessing this might not be for you? ;) For me, I already feel like an old lady most days with the supplements I had been taking, so it wasn't that much of a big deal. (I personally stopped taking everything but my asthma and allergy medication while I was doing this cleanse, but the container does not say anything about stopping other supplements)

Now, I'm never one to shy away from too much info, so I want you to know that many of these pills contain Psyllium Husks. Of course, it's a cleanse, it should - but for anyone who isn't putting two and two together, don't do this cleanse while you're on vacation or spending a lot of time on the road, because the whole point is of course to cleanse your system, and the psyllium is what helps to do this - and it ahem, has to come out. Translation: while doing this, especially in the beginning days, have easy access to a bathroom. ;) /public service announcement

You'll need to put down any alcoholic drinks or caffeine while you are doing this cleanse, and stick to water only. Lots of water - don't skimp on drinking the water. It works with that psyllium I was just telling you about to clean out those pipes of yours and flush out the junk from your system.

I personally avoid the scale these days, so I can't tell you if I lost any poundage to go alongside the toxin cleansing of the Lady Soma Detox, but clearly I lost a bit of tummy bloating, because I noticed one of my skirts fitting me better at the end of the seven day period - and since I should have started to feel bloated as it was the end of my cycle, I'm pretty pleased with that! I felt a little less foggy, too.

Now, if you get positive results, you might get tempted to continue on this program, but don't! It's only meant to be used for one week at a time, and then let your body rest from it. You can do the Lady Soma Detox once a month to clear out the junk from your system if you'd like.

By the way, Lady Soma Detox is made here in the USA. If you are interested in giving it a try, you can purchase it online via their website, where it retails for $74.99 with free shipping.

Please note that I received the product mentioned above in order to try it out in my own home. All opinions are my own, and your results with the product may vary from mine. See some of my warning in the post about the product, and be sure to discuss using this with your doctor or nurse before beginning it.
