September Is National Preparedness Month
If you haven't already heard, September is National Preparedness Month. I'm joining in over here at Confessions of a Psychotic Housewife by sharing tips, ideas, and product reviews (many of which are things I use frequently myself!) over the next month. I have found first hand being prepared EXTREMELY important. Not only can it save your life, but it can makes things a little more comfortable for your family during difficult situations. From hurricanes to losing your main source of income, it can happen to us all. I've previously mentioned that a survey came out that said less than half of the US would take action if they thought bad weather was coming. (Read more on that here)
Over the five years since I've started this blog, I've tried to share the message of preparedness with everyone. While I joke about being ready for zombies, I'm not one who thinks 2012 is going to be the end of the world, or that civiliation is going to collapse completely. (Although as a history major, I'd be remiss if I didn't admit it could be possible - I'm betting the Romans never thought they'd see the end of their empire, either!)
If you'd like to read some of my thoughts from in the past, check out my preparedness topics. Let's have some fun over the next month and get ready to survive the Zombie Apocalypse! ;)
