With all of the craziness at airports, between extra security, rude people, and extra nickle and dime fees on everything from snacks to luggage weight, my family prefers to drive to our destinations. We can take our time, and I'm ensured that gifts don't get broken or lost during a flight transfer. The best part? Getting to see the scenery out the window. We live in an absolutely GORGEOUS country - where else could you see the ocean, mountains, desert, and corn fields? Blue skies and pretty clouds? Glittery snowflakes, shimmery rainbows, and angry raindrops? Yep, our United States!

One thing is for sure, I wouldn't attempt the mountains passes here in Washington without four wheel drive and snow tires and chains! Where will your holiday travels take you this year? Will you be visiting an entirely different climate than the one you live in? Do you travel in warm weather clothes but need to pack snowboots? Or is it the opposite for you?
