Random Thoughts Tuesday - 399 Days

My American readers, if you can, don't forget to vote today! It doesn't matter who, but remember once upon a time many of us couldn't vote. Honor those who gave their lives for us to be able to vote by doing it!

Brrrr! Getting up to feed the zoo was not my idea of fun. I'm going to have to break out the long johns! lol Yeah, I know - I'm a wimp with the cold.

So my house still looks like a tornado hit. We still have a pile of stuff in the living room to sort through when DH gets home from work today.

I need to bake.

OH, OH, OH! With all of the hoopla here, I didn't get to blog the hoopla outside. Two words: crazy lady! I walked past the window and noticed an ambulance pulling up, which seems to have been commonplace as of late. (Literally... every week) It was time to take the dogs out, and when I did - TWO more more pulled up! Cue my panic, because I've never seen that many ambulances get sent for a single residence unless it's really bad. DH and I were glued for two hours to the window - yes, they were here that long! After about an hour and a half, a fourth one pulled up! I felt like Mrs Kravitz glued there, lol Here we were running scenarios through our mind trying to figure out what was going on and if there was a contagion in play. (Hey, they are stone's throw away!) It took *12* EMT's to bring out one person. Man, oh man!

Yesterday she was back out in the yard, hollering and screaming at herself. I don't understand, there are people visiting her all the time that are supposedly "family", can't they make sure she takes whatever medication she's been prescribed before she really hurts herself or others? :(

One of DH's coworkers tried to get him to switch days off with him. She wanted Black Friday off, lol. Being as DH is currently counting down the days AND hours/minutes to his Cabela's trip, all the bribery in the world wouldn't have happened. ;) I'll think of him fondly, while I snuggle in my toasty warm flannel sheets. Haha!

Bummer. George Romero Hollywood Star campaign shut down, zombiephiles mourn When I see some of the people who have stars, I don't see why Romero can't have one too. Night of the Living Dead is a classic movie, whether you're a horror movie fan or not.

Lessons From a Zombie Preparedness Class They are fun, if you haven't taken one. Pretty much 99.9% of the things you learn you could turn around and use in any disaster or emergency situation.

Will you survive the zombie apocalypse? I'd say your odds jump for every little thing you learn or put up.

Too funny on some of the questions they ask in this one:

Gamquistu - I could survive for 399 days in the Zombie Apocalypse! How long could you?

How'd you do?

Not sure if I'd last 399 days... Not sure if I'd want to! Visiting from the random blog hop

I'm not a fan of the cold either. I work as a 911 dispatcher and even I'm amazed that four ambulances were there just for that.
