Book Review: May Cause Miracles By Gabrielle Bernstein

I recently received a copy of the new book May Cause Miracles: A 40 Day Guidebook Of Subtle Shifts For Radical Change And Unlimited Happiness by Gabrielle Bernstein to review.

Meant to be read and worked through over the course of forty days, May Cause Miracles is a plan of sorts to get you to stop worrying about your fears - jobs, debt, looks - and get positive results on the way immediately. It begins with identifying how your fears have "tripped you up" and moving on to self love. After all, if you don't love yourself, how can you expect anyone else to? Week three will start to show you how to shift your patterns of self sabotage to ones of loving thoughts, which rolls in week four and working on romantic bliss - whether you're single or married. Week five talks about fixing your financial downfalls, and it wraps up focusing these wonderful thoughts to help the rest of the world - whether it's as a miracle worker in your community, or just helping those close to you.

As someone who is struggling with the fact that life doesn't always follow the plan you've made, I kind of needed this book right now. It's been a frustrating couple of years, that's for sure, where it truly felt like everything that could go wrong really did go wrong. Good grief, enough with the icky Murhpy's Law, and let's move on to the positive - like kicking the last of that debt to the curb, getting healthier, and most important of all, homesteading. Negative energy need not apply here, that's for sure. I was already familiar with Gabrielle before this book landed in my lap, and I liked how easy she made everything sound - because the power of thought really is easy, if we just let it be. No book can be a cure all for any problem of course, but a gentle reminder to get things back on the right path with a little bit of help. If your goal this year is to get life more positive, then pick up this book - even if you just borrow it from the library - and gleam what information you can from it that's relevant to your life right now. Struggling with why your relationships always go sour? Why you sabotage every budget you draw up? Or why you just can't seem to lose any weight? It's time to fix that and get HAPPY. Use this book, alongside a journal (or a blog lol) for your feelings and thoughts.

Miracles do happen folks - if you let them. Don't dwell on the negativity. Let it out, fix it, and move on.

This book is apparently what I need to read these days. I feel so down and it seems like everything's going wrong. I hope this book can lighten things up for me.
