Harman Pellet Stoves Are Eco-friendly

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Harman Stoves. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love having a wood burning stove in my home. Wood heat is so much warmer than electric! Our stove is pretty old - it definitely was recycled from another home into this home - so we've started looking at new stoves in the store to get a general idea of what we would need to save if we decided to stay in this house. The great news is that federal tax credit on 75 percent efficient biomass heating appliances was reinstated on Jan. 2, 2013, and provides a 10 percent tax credit of up to $300 on a qualifying biomass heating appliance purchased between Jan. 1, 2012 and De. 31, 2013!

This means I can purchase a premium clean burning wood stove like Harman Pellet Stoves, and not break the bank. Pellet stoves use biomass fuels that are composed of renewable, carbon-neutral products, making them an eco-friendly option. Did you know that using a pellet stove to heat your home costs 44% less than oil, 47% less than electric, and 53% less than propane heat? Many pellet stoves, including the Harman Stoves, can heat a home using around $10-15 worth of electricity monthly, depending on your climate of course. And while storing the bags of pellets can take up some room, it's a lot easier than storing cut wood - not to mention, cleaner. (You don't have to worry about bugs hitching a ride so much like we do currently!)

Pellet Stoves are Awesome

Harman Pellet Stoves were first designed and built back in 1979, and their motto is “Built to a standard, not a price". Their stoves are known for even heat, easy maintenance, and advanced technology. They have 36 different models of pellet stoves, inserts, and home heating units to chose from. They look very nice in many homes. This popular heating alternative is definitely on our list of possibilities. (I'm leaning towards the Oakwood right now)

I remember hearing about pellet stoves a long time ago, but haven't heard about them recently. This post is intriguing. The cost savings are terrific. I like the eco friendly nature of them, too. We sure could use a new heater.
