Random Tuesday Thoughts: First Ones Of 2013

Stacy
Yay for 2013.

Yep, it's raining again.

I found a lovely piece of property (with a house) at a steal of a price, which I would have jumped all over - except it didn't have a well. :( Trying to find the perfect piece of property in our price range is harder than I thought!

Our electric bill was UGLY this last month. I am assuming it's because I have been stuck using the dryer so much. I about had a heart attack when I saw the total!

I'm excited to start planting, even if we could move before we harvest anything. I'm really hoping this year will go a lot better than years past! I will probably just start the basics here in the next couple of weeks - tomatoes, peppers, zucchini. Of course we have strawberries and blackberries already in, as well as onions and garlic. Homemade salsa time! ;) I know I don't have a green thumb, but I am bound and determined to keep trying.

Thank goodness I am better at baking. ;)

Zombies sought for regional filming Anyone in the UK interested? I could never participate in something like that, I'd be too busy cranking about things not being realistic enough. ;) DH makes fun of me for that, but I love my zombies with a healthy dose of realism.

Now why couldn't we have learned stuff like this in school? Maybe I wouldn't have been quite so bored. Cram Session: School, Palm Bay use zombies to help feed kids' brains

And this is right up DH's alley: Kansas militia expects zombies, and it’s dead serious

Poor DH, who is a super cranky man thanks to the current ammo shortage. :( He's been stuck playing more with his other toys. The kiddo pointed out that there is no shortage of rocks for her slingshot, LOL

*cringe* Imagine If Seattle Was Walled-In & Filled With Zombies Then again, I don't actually live in Seattle, so they can knock themselves out. ;) I love Cherie's books - if you haven't read them, and you love zombies and steampunk, then you simply must!

LOL:

Gone is the days of practical presents. :(

Like you I also complain if zombies don't look real enough to make me scream, lol.

My electric bill made me cringe too. Mine is mainly due to heating the house during these winter months. I'm ready for the days when I can open windows and not have air or heat running.

Zombies are becoming more popular nowadays, from games to movies. I just don't get it why.
