Review & Giveaway: PlayfulThreads.com

I've always enjoyed having a full lingerie drawer, even before I was married. From tights to corsets to pretty undies, I looked for the unique. A few years ago, I had the chance to review Playful Threads, and when they recently asked me if I was interested in working with them again, I happily said (ok, typed) YES!


Playful Threads carries everything from sexy lingerie to clubwear, and many of their items are available in plus sizes, too. Whether you are looking for a little something to spice up Valentine's Day, sleepwear for a romantic getaway, or sexy dresses to wear out to dinner, you'll find it here. I can spend hours searching through all the fun pretties available - especially the tights. You know me and tights! ;)

It took me awhile to decide on exactly what I wanted to review - I'm not kidding when I am telling you there is an amazing selection at Playful Threads to choose from! I ended up picking the Letti - American Pride Sequin String Bra Top and Matching Thong. I thought it was perfect to spice up the Fourth of July and other patriotic holidays! ;) Here's what it looked like on the site:

The shipping was super fast, and discreet. If you don't want your mail carrier/delivery person to know what you've just ordered, have no fear - you don't need to worry. The American Pride Sequin String Bra Top and Matching Thong is made by a company called Elegant Moments. I have a lot of lingerie, but this was actually my first go-round with this particular manufacturer. The two piece set is super cute, but it needs special care. You are supposed to hand wash it in cold water, and hang dry. The seams are very delicate, so be careful putting it on and off if you're wanting to wear it more than once or twice. And watch those stars when you are washing it, that they don't fall off! (FYI: a drop of fabric glue will put it back on if it happens) Here it is out of the package:

Now the top is completely adjustable, as it is a tie on top. The thong has two hooks to put it on and off. It's stretchy, but it's not super stretchy, so if you feel you are borderline on the sizing, I suggest taking the plus size (it starts at a size 12/14), so it doesn't rip so easily when you are putting it on/taking it off.

Just in case someone is thinking about making this their hot new bikini for summer - sorry, it's not lined, and the "sequin" fabric is sheer. Maybe in your own backyard, but not in public! ;)
