Review: HTY Gold Body Gold

For an experiment a few weeks ago, I went 48 hours without any moisturizer at all. Not on my legs, my elbows, or even my face. Cue the itchy, dry, flaky skin. It didn't even take 12 hours for me to want to throw in the towel on this one, lol. Yep, good moisturizer and lotion is definitely something I don't want to be caught without!

HTY Gold (the HTY stands for Hide The Years) was designed by master chemist George Kopas to help his own wife, who was born with a skin condition that required radiation and skin grafting. The entire product line has been formulated by experienced chemists to replace the natural oils lost by the skin over time. As we get older, our skin changes - and the products that once helped, might not anymore. (I can attest to this - I've definitely seen a change in my skin and hair since my surgery one year ago. It practically aged me 10-15 years.) Thanks to the antioxidants and nutrients in HTY Gold’s patented formula, this natural creamed oil protects your skin against UV-induced oxidative stress, skin damage and aging.

I was lucky enough to receive the HTY Gold Body Gold to review. It is a 12 fl. ounce jar, which might sound small at first, but it's a very generous size when you see it! The leopard print lid reminded me of something my great aunt would have used back in the 60's or 70's, lol (She had her own personal "beauty parlor" in the basement complete with sink for dying her hair, and boy, I loved to go there and play as a little girl!) The cream is easy to apply from the jar. As a head's up, because it's all natural, the cream can change it's appearance based on the room temperature - if you keep it in a cold room, it's going to be more solid vs kept a room temperature. Likewise, if it's summer and the room it's in is very hot, it will be a little more runny.

The first thing I noticed upon opening the jar is that there was no scent. A fragrance free product that was truly fragrance free! If you have long nails, you might want to use a lotion scoop (those tiny little plastic "spoons" you can snag in the beauty stores) to keep from getting the product under your nails. For me, I just used a clean fingertip in a circle on the product and rubbed it in. A little goes a long way! It is very thick going on your skin, and you can definitely feel it. At first I was afraid that it was going to be super greasy and attract every cat hair in the house to my skin (lol) but within a few moments, it was completely absorbed into my skin. My body just soaked it right up! I used this all over my body, but I felt the most difference on my neck, cleavage area, and my calves. Of course, other folks' results might vary from mine, in part due to aging. If you're in your 60's, you may not see a physical difference, although I am assuming you'd feel a difference touching your skin.

You can use HTY Gold twice a day for the best results, and reapply as needed if you're feeling super dry. It's rich in good things your skin needs, like Beta Carotene, Vitamin A, Vitamin D & Vitamin E, among others.

HTY Gold is all natural, and chemical free. The ingredients list contains things we've all heard of, from palm oil to cocoa butter. There are no no-no ingredients in it that I try to avoid, and it's not tested on animals! It's also made here in the USA. I call that the trifecta of perfection right there, because those are my three personal "musts" in order for a beauty product to make it into my routine.

You can purchase HTY Gold products, including the Body Gold that I tried, online via their website. The regular price is $320.00, but it's currently on special for $160.00. Plus, right now as their Valentine's Day special, you'll receive a second jar free, and free shipping.

I received the item shown above in order to try it out for myself and share my thoughts on it. All opinions are my own, and your results with the product could vary from mine.

Interesting post (minus the price tag! Outch!) as it indentifies a product which is REALLY unscented!
Too often the label is misleading and
I must shelve 'new' product as hubby reacts to the added 'scent'.
Thanks for sharing,
