Alo-Verix is clinically tested and safe for everyday use, and doesn't have bad ingredients like petrolatum, wax, paraffin, mineral oil, or parabens. It also doesn't contain propylene glycol, although it does have alcohol in it, so if you have sensitivities to that, be careful trying this out.
To use Alo-Verix, first cleanse your face as usual. Then apply a generous amount to your face and neck, gently massaging it into your skin. It's an easy to use pump bottle, so it's simple to get out the amount you need without wasting it. (Be sure to wipe the tip of the pump after use so you don't get it clogged!) I used it once a day in the AM, but it's recommended you use it twice a day for best results.
You can see the shea butter in the product, as it's an off beige color. There's sort of a weird smell to the cream - I wouldn't call it awful by any means, but it's not flowery or fruit-y. (That's a good thing though - I'd rather not have artificial fragrance!) It also didn't upset my slightly sensitive skin. I could definitely feel it on my skin for the first few minutes - it's a little heavy, but not super heavy like some creams. It was just perfect to use on my forehead, which tends to get dry easily. (I knew there was a reason I had bangs when I was younger! LOL) It did absorb into my skin after about five minutes to where I felt safe applying my makeup on top of it. (You can also follow with sunscreen and then makeup, if you desire)
A 2 ounce bottle of Alo-Verix by Bio-Scriptives retails for $40.00, and you can purchase it online via their website.
