Being a one income family, it can be hard to stretch my budget some weeks. I know there are lot of reward programs out there, but I don't have all day to sit there and watch videos, click on this, do that etc, only to end up with a single $5 Amazon gift card once or twice a year. I'm picky about the programs I'll join, and even pickier about the programs I'll do long term. I've been a member of Swagbucks for about three years now. Thanks to them, I've gotten hundreds of dollars worth of camping and hunting equipment from Cabela's, had some yummy treats at Starbucks, and purchased holiday gifts from Amazon.
If you're unfamiliar with it, Swagbucks is basically just a search engine, just like Google. Only this one has a little perk: you could earn "Swagbucks" that get you points towards prizes and gift certificates. 450 "Swagbucks" will get you a $5 Amazon gift card, and 500 gets you lots of other $5 gift cards, from Toy 'R Us to Shell gas cards. (There's such a wide variety to choose from you can literally pay for a mini vacation if you save up - from gas for a road trip to your hotel stay to restaurants to eat at!)
There are lots of ways to earn Swagbucks. You can do the basic - hunting for codes that come out almost daily (at the bottom of my site, you'll see a Swagbucks box that will allow you to check for codes), do your usual searches, and answer a daily poll. Sometimes there are videos to watch, or interactive sites to click through that will give you a Swagbuck for liking certain sites via Facebook. You can even earn Swagbucks for shopping through their Shop and Earn tab. (might as well get rewarded for something you are already planning to do!)
Where my personal bread and butter comes from is the surveys you can take through the Swagbucks survey dashboard, and the Peanut Labs. I try to do one or two a day so I come out ahead of the daily Swagbucks goal that's posted on the main website lately. Hitting that daily goal gets you an extra bonus amount of Swagbucks at the end of the month, and if you manage to hit that goal for the entire month, you'll snag another extra bonus on top of that. Last month I snagged an extra 557 Swagbucks with that daily goal, which got me a $5 gift card!
No, you won't become a millionaire using Swagbucks, but you can certainly help bring down expenses for holiday gifts or help make a trip extra special with it.
So if you're already signed up for Swagbucks, and just have forgotten about it, now is a great time to get back to it! If you're not a member and you'd like to join, I have a special promo code for you that will give you an extra 70 Swagbucks on top of the 30 you would normally get as you join and complete your profile. Just click on "I have a sign up code" as you are signing up, and enter the text PsychoticHW in the box. It's only valid through October
And today is an excellent day to join or head back on over, because until 11:59 PM PST tonight, they are giving you "Double Stuffed Swagbucks" on a lot of the daily activities like the daily poll, toolbar, and games! Head on over to the site for full details.
