Update Your Travel Wardrobe

December is one of the most popular times of the year to take a vacation. It's no wonder when you see the colder weather rolling in and -gasp- snow arriving, I'd want to run away someplace warm too! Whether you'd like to head off to the beach, or take a cruise to warmer destinations, there are plenty of great travel deals available this time of year - especially if you are willing to travel at odd times of the day.

Once you've found the perfect place to visit, it's time to get your wardrobe updated! Maybe your favorite swimsuit is showing signs of wear, or you are in need of new flip flops to wear to the pool. Years ago it was a little harder to snag out of season clothing, but thanks to the internet you can find the hottest summer fashions at great prices and have them delivered straight to your door. With all of the rules and regulations it's safer to travel lighter, so be sure to not overpack and avoid those extra fees. It's better to spend that money updating your travel wardrobe instead! A great pair of earrings or a statement necklace can make a basic black dress pop from daywear to an evening dress. Or a pretty sarong like the ones you'll find at FairWindsSarongs.com can be turned into an impromptu dress or skirt to wear to lunch as well as a cover up over your swimsuit to wear to the pool or beach. (I've even used my red one as a shawl!)

What is your must have piece of clothing to pack when traveling? Mine is a black cardigan that is lightweight but doesn't get wrinkled due to the fabric used. It's seen some mileage over the years, that's for sure!

This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own.
